Well! How wrong can you get? Anyone who read last month's newsletter would have picked up on the negative sentiment regarding MSS production but if anyone thought, as I did, that they have lost interest in toy steam then you would be 100% wrong. It transpires that MSS have a whole raft of new models and innovations lined up over the next year or so. I have to say that this is one of the most exciting developments in recent years and in due course you will begin to understand what I mean. Most of the details are still under wraps but I can today exclusively reveal the first of these new models....
Next year (2012) is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and to commemorate the occassion MSS will be issuing a limited edition locomotive. There will be only 250 engines produced in a special colour in a presentation box with appropriated signage on the side panniers. Full details of the final design are not yet complete but each engine will have its production number etched into a plaque attached to the engine. And what's more we have...... EXCLUSIVE to Manor Models Railway. Manor Models have already purchased, 'off-plan', the first 10 engines. If you would like to purchase one of these first 10 numbered engines then we will be offering, on a first-come-first-serve basis, any numbered engine from 1-10 for a final cost of £250. I will say however that engine number 1 has already been sold to an avid collector for an undisclosed sum, but engine numbers 2 to 10 are still available. If you would like to reserve one of these then you will need to pay a £50 deposit. The balance of £200+ P&P is payable before dispatch which is likely to be early next year. Recommended retail price for the limited edition engine is yet to be released but is likely to be less than the £250 for these first few exclusive engines. First pictures of the prototype will be posted on www.MamodRailway.co.uk just as soon as they are available. If you would like to reserve a Diamond Jubilee Loco then << Click here >> |
