Manor Models Closure
-
I have many enquiries regarding the future of Manor Models.
- A sincere thank you to the many messages wishing me an enjoyable retirement and thanking me for the supply of parts over the last 20 years. I was not expecting such a positive response so thank you for that.
- There are other traders interested in buying the remaining stock or stock and business or both.
Also other traders who depend upon me for parts and need to know what is happening.
- The answer is:
- Another trader is in the process of buying the Manor Models business and is building the necessary workshop and storage. You will appreciate that this can take some time but the intention is to take over the business before the end of July (or very soon after). The intention is to continue Manor Models as it currently exists with all the current range of parts including the ever popular bulk buy section. In addition the new owner wants to extend the range of parts to help fill the parts supply gap left by the closure of Mamod. This should give some reassurance to other retailers who buy from me. I have no doubt there will be a short period of disruption whilst the very heavy machinery and extensive stock is relocated. It will also take a little time for me to train the new staff.
- In a nutshell, Manor Models will continue more or less 'as is' with the possible exception of a hiccup at the beginning of August. Hoping that answers some of the questions.
Kind Regards
Will

PS Some of you may know that I run the toysteambible on behalf of the forums and other enthusiasts on a not-for-profit basis. I understand this will continue under the new owner
